Abstract

Reproductive health is a state of perfect health, both physically, mentally and
socially. Based on the results of the Demographic and Health Survey across the Jakarta city in 2014 mentions, 13.3% of young women do not know about the physical changes of puberty time already. Even (47.9%) teenage women had low knowledge about HIV / AIDS. Research was conducted on students STIKes PHI located on the street Jatiwaringin consists of two programs study; Nursing and Public Health, with a population of 90 samples, 30 students were selected using random sampling. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect
of deductive learning strategies through a lecture and discussion on student knowledge about reproductive health. This research used an experimental method with 2x2 factorial design. Of the 38 items are valid with the reliability of 0613 and 25 true-false test valid items with reliability 0851. Data was analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that there are significant differences between deductive learning strategies using the method of lecture and discussion on student knowledge about reproductive health. There is a very significant
difference between students who have knowledge on reproductive health are high and the low. In conclusion, there is a highly significant interaction effect between deductive learning strategies through a lecture and the discussions on the student's knowledge about reproductive health. students who have a high level of knowledge more effectively taught by deductive learning strategy through the method of discussion while students who have little knowledge
more effectively taught by lecture method
